Samsung and Jay-Z are reportedly coming to an agreement on closing a deal worth $20 million, according to details emerging this morning. An unknown source told The New York Post that Jay-Z wants to “develop some kind of new music-streaming service to promote his acts and music on mobile devices” as part of the deal.
But what would the deal entail? 9to5Google guesses that rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z “will be bringing his marketing prowess to Samsung” to further develop and grow the company. Jay-Z has achieved success in his Rocawear clothing line and Roc Nation Sports agency, among many other endeavors.
Separately, a well-connected source to Digital Music News is calling BS early, while pointing to an oft-suspect Post. “Never believe the New York Post,” the source curtly cautioned.
