WillCall, a concert discovery and ticketing app, raised $1.2 million through its latest funding round, bringing the total to $2.1 million.
The new funds will enable WillCall to further develop mobile technologies beyond the realm of ticketing, “bolstering social integration features within the consumer-fading iOS and native Android apps,” as well as “setting the foundation for expansion into select domestic and international markets with robust music communities,” according to a release.
Investors include Sean Parker of Napster and Spotify, Coran Capshaw of Red Light Management and ATO Records, Airbnb’s co-founder and CPO Joe Gebbia, and many more.
On a similar note, Set.fm, a platform that provides downloadable concert footage secured its second round of funding at $500,000. The initial round in July of 2012 brought in $750,000.
