The Production Music Association (PMA) has just tapped Hunter Williams as Executive Director, effective immediately. The LA-based Association advocates for the interests of production music publishers and composers across film, television, radio and new media. “Production music is the sonic lifeblood of so many TV shows, movies, commercials, promos, and other audio and audio-visual productions,” said Williams. “I’m honored to take on this role to help further the interests of the many PMA-member music libraries and composers, and to help ensure that their music is properly valued in today’s rapidly changing music economy.”
Elsewhere, VEVO has a pair of appointments, across multiple continents. The freshly-launched, Berlin-based VEVO Germany will be headed by Tina Funk, whose resume includes previous positions at EMI and V2. Back stateside, VEVO has hired Jonathan Carson as Chief Revenue Officer. Carson, who will oversee a global VEVO salesforce, hails from Nielsen and is the founder of Buzzmetrics.
