If you were thinking about buying the GarageBand app for iOS, you might want to hold your horses. It now appears that the app will be a lot more accessible for people with iPhones and iPads.
Due to a mix-up at Apple, new iOS 7 app information for iLife and iWork suites was accidentally posted online for a brief period of time. This included redesigned GarageBand, iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote icons, which have gone minimal to match the new operating system motif.
Apple’s post indicated that GarageBand will become free on iOS 7 with in-app paid premium content. Garageband has now joined five other apps that will soon be free, according to Apple announcements. The slip comes ahead of tomorrow’s Apple media event, where the information is likely to be announced.
GarageBand is currently the 33rd most popular paid iPad app.
