Justin Bieber is the solution to teenagers’ severe lack of social media resources… according to RockLive.
RockLive previously built games that had social aspects to them, but now they have their sights on something much larger: a new social network called Shots of Me.
Justin Bieber, Floyd Mayweather, and other investors have partnered with RockLive on the project. Bieber is the lead investor with a contribution of $1.1 million (out of the $2.7 million raised in the seed round of funding).
John Shahidi, CEO of RockLive, told Fortune that the purpose of the network is “to create a social network for teens that really addresses what they aren’t getting on other networks, and which tries to deal with things like cyber-bullying“.
RockLive’s search description says it is “a social network that allows users to share photos, videos and private messages in real time“.
Shots of Me is guaranteed a large initial user base, due to Bieber’s God-like status among teenagers.
