The latest comings and goings…

Shawn “Tubby” Holiday has joined Columbia Records as SVP of Urban A&R. Holiday was most recently SVP of A&R at RCA Records and has worked with many popular artists, such as Akon, Lady Gaga, and Robin Thicke.  Holiday will report to President Ashley Newton.

New FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler has announced several new staff appointments:

Ruth Milkman is now Chief of Staff, with Philip Verveer as Senior Counselor to the Chairman; Gigi B. Sohn has been named Special Counsel for External Affairs, and Diane Cornell has been appointed Special Counsel; Daniel Alvarez, Renee Gregory, and Maria Kirby are new legal advisors.

Additionally, Deborah Ridley has been appointed Confidential Assistant to the Chairman, with Sagar Doshi as Special Assistant to the Chairman.  Furthermore, Jon Sallet will serve as Interim Director of the Technology Transitions Poicy Task Force and Acting General Counsel while Jon Wilkins will serve as Acting Managing Director and Advisor to the Chairman for Manangement.

Lastly, Roger Sherman was named Acting Chief of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau.


Warner Music Group has appointed Dirk Ewald as SVP/Global Catalogue Management.
