Slacker is now available to 11 million Time Warner Cable internet subscribers.
Time Warner is using the partnership to further boost its ‘TWC Central’ offering. For Slacker, the new user base could offer some leverage against iTunes Radio’s 20 million active userbase. Then again, there’s no telling how many people will actually use the service.
In May of this year, Slacker claimed to have over 10 million users and 600,000 subscribers.
Slacker is big on partnerships. They say they are:
“…the only digital music service that has billing and distribution deals with every major North American wireless provider, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular. In addition, Slacker is available in vehicles produced by … Ford, GM, Chrysler Group, Acura, Honda, Scion, Subaru and Tesla.”
The new partnership is available to customers though twcc.slacker.com.
