T-Mobile is really trying to become the “cool” mobile provider. They recently announced that select streaming music services wouldn’t count against customer data limits, the latest in a long line of interesting new features.
Now, T-Mobile has announced a U.S. partnership with SFX Entertainment, the EDM company that has bought up everyone in sight.
T-Mobile hopes to reel in young people through dance music.
The mobile company will sponsor SFX’s TomorrowWorld and Electric Zoo festivals beginning in 2014, and will sponsor the next Mysteryland festival in 2015. T-Mobile will also partner with Beatport on a new website, mobile music service, and a Clear Channel radio show.
T-Mobile’s CEO John Legere says:
“Partnering with SFX on their world-class festivals is perfect because millennials were born on the internet and live on their smartphones. They’re the heart and soul of our un-carrier revolution.”
