Executive Shuffles: KCRW, SpinMedia, Entertainment Retailers Association, Association of Independent Festivals…

SPIN Editor-in-Chief Craig Marks is out after three months. SpinMedia CEO Stephen Blackwell says the departure was “amicable”. The New York Post says SpinMedia’s backers just put another $7.5 million into the failing company.

KCRW is adding Kevin Systrom to their Board of Directors, which now has 25 members. Systrom is the Co-Founder and CEO of Instagram.

The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) has some changes to its senior board. Alison Wenham is stepping down as Chair and Ben Turner is stepping down as Vice Chair. Jim Mawdsley, CEO of music development agency Generator, will be the new Chair. John Rostron, former CEO of the Welsh Music Foundation and Founder of Sŵn Festival, will be the new Vice Chair.

The Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA) has a number of changes.

  • Raoul Chatterjee has been named Chairman. Chatterjee is SVP of Music at 7digital Group and succeeds Paul Quirk.
  • Rudy Osorio, Head of Visual at HMV, has been re-elected Deputy Chairman. Chris O’Reilly of Presto Classical has been re-elected Treasurer.
  • Markus Bhatia of The Hut and Drew Hill of Proper Music are joining the board for the first time.
