Product Hunt is like a Reddit for technology. Users can submit, upvote, and comment on products. The site often features collections of music related products, and Nas is currently using Product Hunt to choose a startup to invest in.

Product Hunt has raised $6.1 million in Series A funding.

The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz. Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit, and Steven Sinofsky also participated in the round. Sinofsky will be joining the Product Hunt board.

Previous investors also contributed to this round: A-Grade Investments, Abdur Chowdhury, Andrew Chen, betaworks, Cowboy Ventures, CrunchFund, Greylock Discovery Fund, Ludlow Ventures, Naval Ravikant, Nir Eyal, Slow Ventures, SV Angel, and Tradecraft.

Product Hunt’s founder has put together a blog post detailing the company’s history.
