Google acquired Songza earlier this year, and said they would incorporate Songza’s features into Google Play Music and YouTube.
The integrated features are starting to roll out.
Google announced that Google Play Music will now recommend playlists based on time of day, mood, and activities in the U.S. and Canada. This type of recommendation is one of the features that set Songza apart.
Google says their playlists were put together by a team of DJs, musicians, music critics, and ethnomusicologists.
Songza is still up and running as an independent service, which means that Google is currently overseeing Google Play Music, Songza, YouTube, and the forthcoming YouTube Music Key….
