AC/DC Drummer Charged with Soliciting Murder…

Updated 11/07/14: Phil Rudd is no longer being charged with soliciting murder.

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been charged with soliciting the murder of two men.

Rudd has also been charged with making murder threats and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis.

Rudd’s house in New Zealand was raided by the authorities, reportedly because of a tip received by police.

Rudd has entered no plea and has been released on bail. He’s been ordered to avoid contact with anyone involved in the murder plot.

AC/DC only found out about the arrest as the news broke. They’ve given no comment, and so far, this has had no effect on the promotion schedule for their upcoming album Rock Or Bust.  Rudd has not been involved with any promo for the album, and it’s unclear if he’s still in the band.

In 1983, Rudd was kicked out of AC/DC, but he re-joined the band in 1994.

Mr. Rudd isn’t charged with anything.

Hope you’ll report that fact in your next headline (not holding my breath, though).

The “soliciting murder” charge has been dropped.

    He still faces drug charges.

    Fix the headline.

This is old, and incorrect, news. Call Perry White for a retraction on this one.
