Australian music service Guvera originally launched as a download platform in 2010, but has transitioned to streaming over the past year. The service is available on the web, iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.
Guvera is present in Australia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Venezuela, and seven other countries. The service also recently expanded to India.
Guvera has now expanded to Russia and the Ukraine. All of their expansions are powered by Omnifone, a B2B cloud music provider.
Omnifone CEO Jeff Hughes says:
“We are pleased to see Guvera continue to break new ground both in terms of its rapid global rollout and innovative business model. We believe it will be one of the winners in the digital music space and we are proud to be powering its service in so many countries.”
