Les Echos reports that Spotify has partnered with France’s Bouygues Telecom to include the music service in some of its plans. The highest (most expensive) data plans will include the service. Bouygues Telecom has 10 million subscribers.

Spotify and Bouygues Telecom reportedly declined comment.

Orange France and Deezer have a similar agreement that will expire in 2015.

Pandora, considering stream-load, is bigger FREE. The biggest FREE is at the YouTube.

The answer to FREE is at UMG which started music industry inferno!
Sony just obediently follows and Warner throws own “me to” FREE fireworks.

I challenge anyone to go onto the web and FAIL to listen to a track for FREE. I’ll give you 5 seconds. The track is..er, The Beatles ‘Let it Be’ GO!

It took me 4 seconds and I got a ‘Viemo’ video, with the full track and no ad’s!

      That’s Spotify’s competition.

So, the further away from the perception of FREE, the smaller Spotify’s market share will be. Now, don’t tell me the alternative is better because that is either PIRACY or YouTube, which pays a lot less than Spotify.

Just because you can, doesn’t make it ok. People who don’t contribute to something they care about are authentically bankrupt. Good luck with that.

If it’s the most expensive option, it isn’t really free. But people do like to think they are getting something for nothing. Like all the ‘torrent freaks’ who forget they are paying for the bandwidth.
