Executive Shuffles: Apple, BBC Radio 1, VEVO, Spotify, Deezer, KROQ

There’s some new hires at Apple, according to Music Business Worldwide. Apple reportedly poached four producers from BBC Radio 1, including Zane Lowe’s former producer James Bursey. It is rumored that Natasha Lynch and Kieran Yeates are also on Apple’s list.

Spotify has hired James Foley away from Deezer, according to MBW. Foley is Deezer’s Head of Editorial.

VEVO has hired Erik Huggers as CEO. Huggers was previously at the BBC and Intel. VEVO’s former CEO Rio Caraeff left the company four months ago.

In other news…

KROQ‘s former Chief Engineer and DJ Scott Mason passed away recently. Mason passed away on April 19th, a cause of death was not given.

    VEVO slaves on YouTube pirate boat were begging for advertising breadcrumbs without MASTER SLAVE.
    Very sad and lonely situation! My sympathy! We hope new guy will make a revolt or evacuate the boat!
