atVenu, a tool that helps artists track and report sales on the road, is partnering with Nielsen in conjunction with the start of Friday release days. Both the partnership and the Friday release day go into effect on July 10th (i.e., now).
atVenu can now be used to digitally submit media sales information to Nielsen SoundScan while on tour. Data from the atVenu app is automatically submitted to Nielsen. This is currently the only way to digitally submit venue sales.
This service costs $10 a month, but only when artists are actually on tour. Artists that are already on an atVenu plan will be able to access the service at no additional cost.
