Vadio expands executive team by adding Brent Hieggelke as SVP Marketing. Brent has recently spent four years with Urban Airship, helping to grow it into a global brand. Prior to Urban Airship, Brent launched Second Porch, and sold it to HomeAway.
BMG US promotes Zach Katz to President of music publishing. Katz will continue to report to Laurent Hubert, President of Creative & Marketing. Katz joined the company in 2012 and most recently served as Chief Creative Officer. His responsibilities are expanded to now lead BMG’s creative teams in LA, New York and Nashville.
Music Publishers Association (MPA) appoints Tina Hart as Membership & Outreach Manager. Hart will assume direct responsibility for liaising with the organization’s 270-strong membership, acting as a first point of contact with major and independent publishers from across the UK. Hard will also be working across all areas of member relations, sponsorship, outreach and education.
Missing Piece Group expands with the opening of a Nashville office. Brady Brock was named General Manager of Missing Piece Group, Nashville and Joe Sivick was promoted to VP, Publicity.
Columbia Records has named Frank Arigo as its new SVP of marketing in the US. He joins Columbia from Republic Records, where he was SVP of Marketing since 2012, after serving as the label’s VP of Marketing.
Kobalt appoints Sam Taylor as SVP, creative. Kobalt also elevated Jeannette Perez to SVP, head of global synch and brand partnerships, overseeing a team of 50 in securing new film, TV, videogame and trailer opportunities.
Elsewhere, iHeartMedia has appointed Alissa Pollack as VP, global music marketing. In her new role, Pollack will give data-driven consultation to brands and artists.
Sony/ATV Music Publishing promotes Jennifer Knoepfle to SVP and head of West Coast A&R, and Amanda Berman-Hill has also been elevated to the new role of SVP and head of West Coast Writer Relations.
Univision appoints Alejandro Nieto Molina as senior VP of the company’s radio division.
Shazam is now saying goodbye to Brent Hoberman, who has now resigned as director of the board. Hoberman joined Shazam as director in December 2012.
Syco Entertainment hired Tim van Rongen as senior VP. He has previously worked as an Executive Producer at Talpa Global BV.
Peermusic appointed Carter Armstrong senior VP film and television music. Armstrong was previously head of music at US independent studio Lionsgate Entertainment where he oversaw films including The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I, Divergent and Insurgent. Prior to that he was SVP, music at Warner Bros.
