eMusic (www.emusic.com) is a specialty digital entertainment retailer that has been at the forefront of offering MP3 downloads and customer-friendly prices since its inception in 1998. We are seeking for a talented individual to handle product management/development for an online media product.

  • Translate marketing and business requirements into detailed and complex Product Specifications.
  • Manage Web, mobile and client software projects from inception through launch, working with management, design, editorial, engineering, customer service, and quality assurance teams.
  • Serve as advocate for the customer, always iterating product to meet customer needs.
  • Manage large-scale projects, as well as day-to-day operations of various product lines.
  • Plan, conduct, compile, and analyze market and customer research.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage technology partners and vendors.
  • Conduct usability testing and other customer-centric research.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5-7 years of Web product management experience. Digital Media, eCommerce or Mobile experience preferred.
  • Strong familiarly with Web 2.0 technologies and interfaces.
  • Ability to translate high-level business vision into actionable product requirements. 
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, large-scale online direct-to-consumer products on-time and within budget.
  • Innovative thinker who provides creative solutions in challenging situations.
  • Solid understanding of Internet technologies.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate product & marketing requirements to engineering
