New York-based Razor & Tie Entertainment is one of the fastest growing independent entertainment companies in the United States. Razor & Tie successfully sells audio and video products through traditional retail distribution, direct response television advertising and ecommerce based websites. Founded by co-owners Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam, Razor & Tie is a vertically-integrated company that encompasses a record company with major label distribution, a home video company, a media buying company, a music publishing business, an experienced marketing, promotion and sales team, a direct marketing operation and a growing database of entertainment consumers.
The digital revenue manager works closely with digital marketing, direct to consumer, and traditional sales staff to maximize revenue across digital services and all Razor & Tie online properties. This position reports to the SVP, Digital Business.
Responsibilities include:
- Interface with second and third-tier digital services on a daily/weekly basis
- Work with digital services on sales promotions and other premium placement for R&T titles
- Manage digital distribution and promotions for distributed labels
- Coordinate digital value adds and digital-physical bundling with traditional retail accounts, working closely with sales team
- Manage production department in content delivery to digital and mobile partners
- Track placement of R&T digital and mobile products on digital services and on-deck (maintain screenshot archive)
- Create weekly digital revenue reports, conduct analysis and assist in setting revenue goals
- Conduct analysis of ancillary revenue streams from 3rd party sites (rev share, etc)
- Conduct analysis of digital revenue across R&T properties (mobile/digital commerce links, ad units)
- Liaise with ecommerce staff on direct to consumer sales promotions / reporting
- Assist in identification of new digital revenue opportunities
Requirements:
- 4+ years experience with digital media
- Strong familiarity with digital music services and business models
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Familiarity with SoundScan and other reporting tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced results-oriented environment
