We're used to hearing stories about fans demanding performances from their favorite artists. There's even a company called Eventful that allows artists to smartly tour based on fan requests. But in this case it's the exact opposite: in fact, Detroit Lions fans are now rallying against a planned halftime performance by Nickelback during their Thanksgiving Day classic against the Green Bay Packers.
These are tough fans from Motown, and this movement is gaining steam. There's already an online petition on change.org to affect this change - and it has rallied support from more than 22,850 supporters (and counting). Here are just some of the stark rallying cries...
