    Actually Zeppelin did receive a Lifetime Achievement Grammy in 2005. Page and JPJ attended, Plant did not.

    NARAS has a much bigger problem than the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame.  Hall of Fame can just say, "Hey Alice Cooper, We're Sorry! Here's Your Award!" Problem solved, everyone forgets he was getting shafted after 10 years.

    Grammys?  Zeppelin needed to get that trophy in 1975 NOT some make good in 2005 when it is obvious to everyone they are one of the the greatest bands on earth.  They need to be relevant NOW to tell us what matters, instead of choosing Baha Men and Milli Vanilli which mean NOTHING now. Which is why they're trying to do stuff like Skrillex who might be remembered in 30 years.  They have to get it right NOW not 2032.

    Visitor Sunday, February 12, 2012

    Implying Skrillex will be relevant in 30 years...

    Dave Friday, February 10, 2012

    How is Joe Satriani not on your list? Second most nomination without a win.

    Mutt Friday, February 17, 2012

    That's why I'm here, Joe is the best!!!

    Mark Friday, February 10, 2012

    Not sure how accurate this list is. I know for sure that Rush won a Grammy for YYZ as Best instrumental rock song in the early 80's. Let's check some more of these before getting to riled up!!

    ProgRocker Friday, February 10, 2012

    Rush's been nominated but never won.

    "We've gotten nominated before in the rock instrumental category, but I guess overall we're just not a typical Grammy band," says Geddy Lee, , 55, whose gla

    You guys should also cross reference against this list of top selling artists in the history of the RIAA

    You might find a few more surprises.

    @MarlonOz Friday, February 10, 2012

    This is ridic.

    @JackDiamond Friday, February 10, 2012

    This list is pretty amazing, and pretty sad. Not a single Grammy award for any of them...

    8675309 Friday, February 10, 2012

    The Grammys are totally irrelevent and look no further thatn the artists they're missing right now in dance, house, techno.  Same thing happened when rock, rap and reggae (MARLEY?) were starting up.  They missed it.

    wallow-T Friday, February 10, 2012

    It's not that the Grammy awards "missed" the arrival of rock: the creation of the Grammy awards was an attempt at counterrevolution by the Music Biz Establishment of the late 1950s-early 1960s. It was an attempt to create a showcase to say, dammit, us middle-of-the-road artists are still relevant, even if those new rock'n'roll guys are now grabbing the mindshare. Just look at the lists of Grammy winners from 1965-1970, when (to name a few) Dylan, Beatles, Stones, Led Zepplin, etc etc were recreating popular music and creating what may become work for the ages. It's probably inevitable that the Grammys will always be about the previous generation.

    wallow-T Friday, February 10, 2012

    Ha!  Looking it up, I see that The Beatles won a Best New Artist award, and "Sgt. Pepper" won Album of the Year, and a couple of individual Beatles songs were recognized.  Not much else from the prime classic rock era, though.

    @hogsatemysister Friday, February 10, 2012

    Snoop Dogg has never won a Grammy. That is the best news I have had all week.

    @LaniKuramoto Friday, February 10, 2012

    The Doors? Led Zepplin? Janis Joplin? Interesting.

    WHAT Friday, February 10, 2012

    What was it that Chuck D said about the Grammys?

    @kleptones Friday, February 10, 2012

    Now I see why the Beach Boys have to duet with (Insert flavor of the month here)

    @KristianRiffo Friday, February 10, 2012

    Politics?

    @Rezastax Friday, February 10, 2012

    Apparement je suis pas dans la liste.

    Truth Friday, February 10, 2012

    Just a popularity contest really. Not so much about quality of music. Best thing I read all week was Bon Iver's Justin Vernon saying F off to the show. I wasn't a fan before, but he just went up a notch in my book

    Visitor Friday, February 10, 2012

    No Grammy for Zeppelin? That in itself is an indictment of the judges' standards of taste.

    David Friday, February 10, 2012

    I wonder how many of those bands listed actually care that they have not won a Grammy.  Do I have to remind you of Pearl Jam's Grammy acceptance Speech!  It's a joke - who cares.  What the Hell does a Grammy really mean.  If you go out and sell out show after show from coast to coast or get on Stage in front of hundreds of thousands of People - That would mean far more then a stupid little trophy won at an award ceramony that is such a cliche in it's self.  I could go on and on but I think you get the point!

    thats a shame a lot of good artists that didnt live long enough to be reckonized,but a lot that should still be honored,especialy creedence clearwater.

    Emily Sunday, February 12, 2012

    Grammy Schmammy. These artists don't need a statue to prove their talent. Neither to artists who have trophies. Michael Jackson didn't need Grammys for us to see his ultra talents.

    Sharlemagne Sunday, February 12, 2012

    Actually, it should have been 55...DAVID COOK DESERVES A GRAMMY TOO! This writer needs his ears checked!

    Abba Monday, February 13, 2012

    He released what is widely regarded as the greatest hip-hop album of all time. And he's had nearly a dozen decent-to-very good albums since then. So, a lot of people care.

    mariah Monday, February 13, 2012

    Thank you couldn"t agree more with you, I though this were some respectable awards, seems like she  and others that I rather not name dont take this awards serious.

    @EddieTrunk Monday, February 13, 2012

    Seems like the folks who pick R&R Hall must also pick Grammy winners...

    #epicmusicalfail... again!

    @petervindel Monday, February 13, 2012

    At disse artistene aldri har vunnet en Grammy viser hvor useriøst det er å rangere musikk

    mariah Monday, February 13, 2012

    Thats funny how there is at least 12 great artist out of the 54, and up to this date people still listen to their music , most of them are classics! I can almost bet people dont even remember who won in those categories, but any who they have the best award of all.... the fans, my self included!!

    @EnochSmithJr Monday, February 13, 2012

    lmnop Tuesday, February 14, 2012

    Grammys are officially useless, it has no connection to what people are really resonating to.

    Burn the Grammy Headquarters down NOW!

    Cancel the WANK-FEST parties and backslapping.

    That industry is done.  No more smoking fumes.

    @atotheco Wednesday, February 15, 2012

    ... let's not hold a Grammy award as a litmus test of talent.

    Eric Wednesday, February 15, 2012

    Oasis - The last truly great rock n roll band to come out of England. Funny how Coldplay gets all the recognition and awards these days. Arent they categorized as a rock band? Chris Martin couldn't hold either of the Gallagher brother's jocks. Period.

    @Jen_eration_X Thursday, February 16, 2012

    Lack of applicable category probably to blame in at least 50% of these.

    SUCKRADIO.com Thursday, February 16, 2012

    Hear the artists that did win Grammys on SUCKRADIO.com

    @RockstarIntern Thursday, February 16, 2012

    Which of these do you think is most shocking?

    @mikeseverson Thursday, February 16, 2012

    Unbelievable list of influential artists...

    Skrillexsux Saturday, February 18, 2012

    Just wanted to leave my mark... Skrillex should be on this list. How does someone win, not just one, but three grammys for turning on his equipment and turning knobs?!?!? bs. I'm done. grammys suck! ok, now im done.

    @KidCircus Saturday, February 18, 2012

    Did any of this lot even care?
