Missing axl? The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is getting ready to induct Guns n' Roses this weekend, though Axl Rose wants no part of it. "I respectfully decline my induction as a member of Guns n' Roses to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame," Rose posted. "I strongly request that I not be inducted in absentia and please know that no one is authorized nor may anyone be permitted to accept any induction for me or speak on my behalf."
Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday... Roman Reloaded is the latest album chart-topper in the US, with debut sales pushing past 250,000. That casts a deep shadow on Madonna's MDNA, whose second-week sales plunged below 50,000.
"I'm one of the most underpaid executives in the history of executive compensation!" famously bellowed Sirius XM CEO Mel Karmazin, according to Forbes. Well, in 2011, the Karmazin ego landed $10.7 million in compensation, according to company filings. That's a gain of more than $1 million on 2010 compensation.
Fame: it's monetizable. Britney Spears looks close to inking a deal to become a host on X Factor, with a rumored, one-season payout pushing past $10 million. And on the higher-end, reports suggest a $15 million dole-out.
But does it make cents? Wall Street was busy beating the 'P' up on Wednesday, with Pandora's shares scraping $8.54 before settling at $8.61 by the bell.
And, the lineup for Lollapalooza has now been unveiled, with the Black Keys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and once-again regrouped Black Sabbath on the bill.
