Listens = 3,100,000

Market Royalty Rate per Listen (estimated in above comment) = X $.0093333

Plubisher's share of Gross (estimate) = X 10%

Share of sub-total (deduct contractual expenses) (estimate) = X 11%

Songwriters share of new sub-total (estimate) = X 50%

Assuming 4 co-writers (estimate) = X 25%

Share per co-writer = $39.78

Based on contractual obligations, the publisher is not ripping off the songwriter. Pandora also paid the market rate.

That said, regardless of contract language, the publisher will most likely word it to reflect 11% of publisher royalty revenues to be shared between it and songwriters.
