This is the way things work. The world changes and presents new problems. While it may be hard to sell music these days, there are a world of new opportunities. People can keep complaining about how things are, or accept the challenge of finding new ways to profit from music.
Personally, as a professional in the music industry, I am glad to see change and I am tired of the same old. Who want things to go back to the way they were, when albums were $16?
Be creative, or starve... or get a day job.
