Re: My Song Was Played 3.1 Million Times on Pandora. My Check Was $39...

This simple fact here is its 1000x harder to earn a living as a songwriter and if all of these streaming services become the future of music consumption, the art of songwriting will be doomed. It's polarizing just like most global economies. The BIG hit writers (the 1%) make everything. The middle class is being wiped out. The poor are simple quitting the business (the 45% mentioned above) Very sad state of affairs. Something will change. As stated, it's written in our Constitution to protect copyrights. Pandora and the like are becoming multi billion dollar entities off of ailing songwriters creations. Who's the devil in this situation? ;) Oh and don't believe the bullshit these streaming services tell you to make you feel better about using their services. They DO not get consumers to buy OTHER things and increase sales etc... It's all a great sales pitch. Hence, why Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Adele can still do big numbers. They don't let their music on those services. ;)
