The Rolling Stones have just released Official Apps for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.  News updates, social features, and videos will allow fans around the world to interact with the band during their 50th anniversary tour.

Sony's Music Unlimited regular subscription price was a standard $10 a month, but is now $60 a year for access to millions of songs.  For those who have subscriptions to PlayStation Plus, the fee drops to just $12 a year.

For music enthusiasts who love to discover up-and-coming artists and bands before they hit mainstream radio, Slacker Radio's New Music First stations could be ideal. Station genres cover alternative, country, hip hop, indie, metal, pop, R&B, and rock.

AXS TV, a channel aiming to become the premier source for live music on television, will broadcast The Gaslight Anthem performing in New York on Thursday, November 29th. This live concert event will air starting at 6:15 pm PT.

Nina Simone is going to be portrayed by Zoe Saldana in a biopic about the late jazz singer. In comparison to Angela Bassett's performance as Tina Turner, Saldana is under scrutiny for not only her lack of resemblance to Simone, but also whether her Hollywood popularity ultimately landed her the role.

Get pumped: Bon Jovi just announced the US tour dates for his band's 'Because We Can' tour. It will kick off in Uncasville, CT on February 9th.  Tickets, starting at a fan-friendly $19.50, go on sale beginning Friday, November 30th.

Elsewhere, MOG founder David Hyman is now departing the company and vacating his CEO role.  Hyman confirmed the exit on Facebook following a C|Net article; MOG is now owned by Beats Electronics.

And, the Association of Performing Arts Presenters will showcase young musicians at Carnegie Hall on Monday, January 14th.  Two soloists and two ensembles were selected from a competitive pool of applicants to participate in the program.
