Deezer Joins the Bop.fm Pan-Streaming Brigade…

Screen shot 2013-12-10 at 3.57.24 PM

Bop.fm has integrated with Deezer, gaining access to their catalog of 30 million tracks.

Deezer was the one to initiate the integration with Bop.fm after discovering the Y-Combinator concept.  The result is that Deezer users can now share tracks with subscribers of rival streaming services, even in the US (Deezer plans to invade America in 2014).

As DMN previously reported, Bop.fm also gives users access to songs across YouTube, SoundCloud, Rdio, and Spotify, and eases existing barriers to sharing.   Bop somehow determines which services users are signed up for.  Taking it a step further, Bop seamlessly combines song details from every service, making sure there is only one listing per track.

It would be nice to see Bop add Last.fm scrobbling in the near future (among others).
