This Pop-Up ‘Butcher Shop’ Sells Vinyl By the Pound…

lps

Looking to buy vinyl by the pound? You can at Elpee’s Beat Shop.

Seattle creative agency Creature transformed their storefront into a vinyl pop-up store modeled after a butcher shop. They claim to have over 1,000 albums in stock.

Much like meat, the price of the LPs varies by quality. “Choice Cuts” are $1.46 per pound, “Prime Beats” are $1.03, and “Stew” is $0.43 per pound. Vinyl is weighed out on a vintage butcher’s scale and wrapped in butcher paper.

Creature was inspired by the Capitol Hill neighborhood and local storefronts. Their associate creative director told the Seattle Times: “I realized that it wasn’t a good idea in real life but I still wanted to do it“.

You really have to be careful what you wish for inside this life. All I was trying to do was sell a spoken word poetry audio book so I could get off disability. I hate these report–publishing invoices from Wall Street about my customers: 199 million, 432 million,187 million,284 million,307 million,8 million–damn I’m like ‘ Steve Urkle ‘ on , Family Matters ‘ Did I dooooo that ? I’m tired of reading earned income figures–this report drop five thousand eight hundred 100% publishing split deep. The other 100% goes to a BMI songwriter named Literati X and that’s me , Eric Hugh Bonner. . . Here’s my Merry Christmas to you, If you can’t clear for me like you clear for everybody else inside this hardworking industry , use the owed out leverage to drive them into total bankruptcy and obliteration. . .LX
