A Canadian legend has passed away. Country folk singer Stompin' Tom Connors was 77, with 'natural causes' listed as the killer. Known for his signature black cowboy hat and stompin' boots, Connors may be best remembered for "The Hockey Song".

Hadopi has become famous for its three-strikes anti-piracy, anti-P2P enforcement. The only problem is that the piracy problem is much bigger than that. Which brings us to a just-released released report from the Hadopi agency, one that suggests broadening into areas like illegal streaming and direct-downloading from sites. Which introduces punitive measures like search engine de-listing, and attacks on payment processors like Paypal.
The Hawaiian Senate has now approved the Steven Tyler Act, which would make it illegal to forcefully invade the privacy of celebrities. The act, which still requires approval by the House, would allow a 'victim' to sue for "attempts to capture, in a manner that is offensive to a reasonable person, any type of visual image, sound recording, or other physical impression of the plaintiff engaging in a personal or familial activity on land owned or leased by the plaintiff".
