Sony has replaced their CFO Masaru Kato, appointing Kenichiro Yoshida to the position. The company has a forcasted yearly loss of $1.1 billion, and is looking to improve their outlook.
In other Sony news, Jill Johnson is leaving her position as Head of Digital and Interactive at Sony Music Entertainment and SYCO (Simon Cowell and Sony’s joint venture). She says she is going to “work-detox” for a bit.
Disciple Media, a company that builds and powers music apps, has hired Matthew Tilley as EVP of Business Development. Previously, Tilley was SVP of International Marketing at EMI.
Jem Aswad, editor in chief of SPIN, has left the company. SpinMedia told Billboard the decision was a “mutual agreement”.
