Well John Frusciante is one-upping most other album releases by sending his new album, Enclosure, to space.
Frusciante, his label Record Collection, and creative agency Loducca sent the album to space on an experimental satellite. Watch the launch:
The coolest part about this is you can download an iOS or Android app to track the satellite between now and April 7th. When it’s above your general location you’ll be able to listen to the new album for free through the app. There’s also a chat feature, so fans can talk to each other.
There’s few things I love more than multidimensional album releases and apps that use current technology to its full potential… so this makes me pretty happy.
