Festival season is upon us. The dirt, the dehydration, the massive crowds… what’s not to love? Well, now you might fall in love with the incredibly eclectic Bonnaroo all over again.
Bonnaroo and Red Bull Music Academy have announced a five year partnership. This partnership will bring RBMA’s Bass Camp and an RBMA after-hours stage to the festival. A village will be built on site for the Bass Camp that includes permanent recording studios and living spaces.
RBMA Bass Camp is a recurring event that has taken place in San Francisco, Montreal, and other cities worldwide. It brings veterans and up-and-coming artists together, providing new artists with tools and resources. Past lecturers include Four Tet, Erykah Badu, and Young Guru.
20 artists will be hand-picked to participate in lectures and workshops and create new music on-site. The RBMA after-hours stage will host performances from these 20 artists, as well as other artists from the Bonnaroo lineup.
