Apple recently acquired Beats and BookLamp, an e-book recommendation service. Now, re/code reports that Apple is close to buying Swell, a personalized podcast and talk radio recommendation app.
Sources say the deal is worth around $30 million.
Swell will supposedly shut down this week as part of the deal. Part of the app’s team will join Apple.
This acquisition hints that Apple might finally be ready to re-work their native Podcast app, which has a 1.5 star rating in the App Store.
