Executive Shuffles: YouTube, Spotify, Amazon, UMPG, Sony/ATV, Warner Music Nashville, BMG Chrysalis, Songs Music Publishing…

BMG Chrysalis U.S. has named Brian Suh Senior Director of Business Affairs.  Suh was previously Director of Business and Legal Affairs at Imagem USA.

Rob Guthrie has been promoted to Head of Operations at Songs Music Publishing.  Guthrie was previously Head of Copyright and Royalty.

Universal Music Publishing Group‘s Chairman/CEO Zach Horowitz has stepped down. Horowitz had been with UMG for 30 years; he said he will be exploring other opportunities.  Jody Gerson will replace Horowitz, effective January 1st, 2015.  Gerson is currently Co-President of Sony/ATV Publishing.

Sony/ATV has promoted Brian Monaco to EVP, Worldwide Head of Advertising, Film and TV. Monaco was previously EVP of the Commercial Music Group.

Wes Vause has been hired as SVP of Publicity at Warner Music Nashville. Vause was previously VP of Media at Sony Music Nashville.

Shiva Rajaraman, YouTube‘s Director of Product Management, has left YouTube to join Spotify, reports re/code. Rajaraman was working on YouTube’s upcoming music service.  Just recently, Chris LaRosa, Product Manager of YouTube Music, left YouTube to join an unnamed startup. Nikhil Chandhok, YouTube’s previous Director of Product for Music, Paid Subscriptions, and Live Streaming, left his position less than a year ago.

Amazon has added Judy McGrath to their board and the board’s leadership development and compensation committee. McGrath was CEO of MTV from 2004 – 2011, and is now President of Astronauts Wanted, a joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment.

    OMG, nobody want’s to touch YouTube Music…

      It should be added that Rajaraman has been with YouTube since 2006.

      This may be an even bigger loss to YouTube Music than LaRosa and Chandhok.
