SeatGeek is a ticket search engine. They search “dozens” of other ticket sites and present the results, the way Kayak does for travel accommodations.  Users can sign up for personalized recommendations and ticket alerts. The company says they’re on track to hit $13 million in ticket sales in August.

SeatGeek has announced that they’ve raised $35 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Accel Partners. Other participants include Causeway Media Partners (a sports investment fund led by Boston Celtics CEO Wyc Grousbeck), Peyton and Eli Manning, Nas, Melo7 Tech Partners. Stanford University Athletics, Seattle Mariners Co-Owner Rob Glaser, Shane Battier, and Mike Dunleavy Jr.

Existing investors Mousse Partners and Thomas Lerhman also participated in the round.

Grousbeck says:

“The sports and entertainment marketplace is on the cusp of a massive transformation driven by improved technology that enhances the fan experience. In the realm of web and mobile ticketing, SeatGeek is already a leader, and I believe it is very well positioned to shape the industry going forward.”

The $35 million will be used to hire more people, expand product, and accelerate mobile marketing. Acel Partner John Locke will join SeatGeek’s board.
