Pepsi and Amazon are ready for action on Super Bowl Sunday, the start of a massive music-related promotion. The Pepsi Stuff collaboration involves MP3s, electronics, and other goodies from Amazon, redeemable through Pepsi bottle caps. Pepsi is planning to distribute roughly four billion eligible caps, though consumers will be forced to aggregate points to redeem prizes.
The duo officially disclosed details of their program in mid-January, though advertising spots are now circulating ahead of game day. Pepsi is employing a number of music celebrities to boost its Pepsi and Diet Pepsi Max products, including Justin Timberlake, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, and Missy Elliott, among others. Timberlake carries the mantle in a Pepsi Stuff spot, one that features the artist getting tossed around town by a straw-sipping fan.
Super Bowl XLII kicks off on Sunday, February 3rd at 6 pm EST.
