Amazon and Universal Music Group couldn't come to terms ahead of a massive, Superbowl blitz involving Pepsi.  But on a far smaller, Valentine's Day promotion, the companies have struck an accord.

The recent tie-up involves Valentine's Day e-cards containing classic recordings from the Universal Music vault.  The free cards also contain a photo puzzle that reveals a heartfelt message once unscrambled.  In total, senders can select from twelve different tracks, including "Endless Love" by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, "Your Song" by Elton John, "At Last" by Etta James, and "My Girl" by the Temptations.

The deal, brokered through Universal Music Enterprises (UMe), also positions CDs within Amazon's Valentine's Day shop.  The action is happening at amazon.com/musicgifts until February 14th.
