Subscription play eMusic is now broadening its value beyond the download and related curation.  At a lunchtime presentation at SXSW on Thursday, the company announced a rewards program that includes discounted access to clubs, gigs, and even museums like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The 'A+R Access + Rewards' program also includes discounts on hardware and opportunities to connect with certain artists.  "This is just the beginning, and we will be listening closely to our members as we continue to build and develop the program," said Lee Nadler, chief marketing officer at eMusic.

The program starts today, though the nature of the program means opportunities will be ongoing.  That plays perfectly into a music-dedicated audience, a group whose interests almost always go beyond the actual song and related editorial.  More at emusic.com/rewards.
