Live Nation has now grabbed a major stake in T In The Park, a massive Scottish music festival. The deal, a joint venture with Gaiety Investments, grants Live Nation a two-thirds chunk of Dance Factory, which controls T In The Park and other festivals. "We look forward to continuing to work with an array of diverse artists and creating first class events such as T In The Park and Hydro Connect," said Geoff Ellis, head of DF Concerts.
The move is part of a continued expansion for Live Nation, which recently sealed a ten-year, $150 million mega-deal involving Jay-Z. The follows similarly-massive tie-ups with Madonna and U2. Gaiety is controlled by festival heavyweight Dennis Desmond.
