The deepening war between the Pirate Bay and major content holders took an interesting twist this weekend.  According to information surfacing in Swedish magazine Sydsvenskan, a police officer involved in the initial investigation of the Bay quickly landed a job at film studio Warner Bros.

The officer is scheduled to testify at an upcoming trial, a situation that is stirring conflict of interest charges.  "The question is how long this was under consideration," defense attorney Peter Althin said.  "If it was under consideration at the time of the investigation then it is a scandal."

The officer allegedly landed the spot just months after the preliminary investigation was launched.  Althin represents Peter Sunde, a key figure at the Pirate Bay.
