Ahead of a serious divorce involving Live Nation, Ticketmaster is now pondering a life on its own. In late February, the IAC/InterActiveCorp-owned company edged closer to securing a serious stake in AEG Live, a well-timed strategic advance. But the negotiations, which also involved Cablevision Systems, started sputtering soon thereafter.
But other deals are happening. On Thursday, Ticketmaster acquired SLO Limited, Inc., a provider of premium ticketing services. Ticketmaster will blend various SLO programs into its ongoing offerings, resulting in a variety of VIP options.
That includes luxurious possibilities like concierge delivery of tickets and package deals that include travel accommodations. SLO services artists and special events as its clients, and adds premium charges onto standard ticket prices. "We are going to utilize our deep ties and long history in the concert industry to deliver concert-going experiences that surpass all fan expectations," said Shelley Lazar, founder and chief executive of SLO Limited.
