TuneCore has quickly established itself as an inexpensive digital distribution tool for artists.  That includes one-shot placement within the iTunes Store, a service also offered by CD Baby.

TuneCore puts content onto digital store shelves without a hassle.  But then what?  Now, the company is offering an iTunes-specific sales tracking package for a modest fee.  The offering, billed as the "poor man's Soundscan," allows subscribing bands to track sales across specific configurations and geographic locations.

Reports can be pulled daily, and the fee is $3 per week.  According to information supplied Wednesday, the tracking solution will launch on June 11th.
