A pre-release leak of Chinese Democracy has attracted the attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Chinese Democracy, the long-awaited Guns N' Roses album, was leaked earlier this month by Kevin Skwerl, owner of the Antiquiet (antiquiet.com) blog.
After being contacted by a Guns N' Roses representative, Skwerl quickly removed the tracks, though federal agents soon visited his residence. "I wasn't sure if they were going to come by with a warrant and trash the place, like in the movies," Skwerl told Rolling Stone. "It was nothing like that."
The leak involved a total of nine tracks, ahead of completion. Whether that merits federal enforcement resources is another issue, though Skwerl is cooperating with authorities.
