MySpace Music is considering some serious changes to its business model, but don't expect to pay for profile page streams anytime soon. "Our goal is not to alter our current experience," MySpace Music chief Courtney Holt told the audience at New Music Seminar in New York on Tuesday.
And the rest? Holt was less-than-flowing on the details, though one rumor is that the company is working towards some sort of paid subscription. But that would be on top of the current layout, according to Holt. "We are looking at alternate ways to make money, always," Holt continued, while also challenging reports of slippery MySpace Music traffic declines.

Smart decision, or more like putting pay walls on MySpace would a really bad decision.
But I'm still not sure subscription is the way to go.

MySpace Music not losing subs and pv's? Yeah right! Charging for streams would kill the bastard overnight. How quick can we destroy an website?
Courtney H. was smart to clean the record on this, agreed on that one, he is a shrewd guy but I think there's on e-rosion not e-commerce on this one. Gosh why does this remind me of MP3.com? A huge ship that is slowly goin' under?
