Northern California plays host to another Bandwidth Conference starting Thursday afternoon, and plenty of familiar names are flocking to the event. The San Francisco-based confab generally attracts a modest-yet-savvy crowd of technology and music executives, often from the Bay Area.
But digital music is a global industry, and that means plenty are also hopping on a plane to play. The includes Charles Caldas, CEO of Merlin; Jeff Price, CEO of TuneCore; Ian Rogers, CEO of Topspin; Livia Tortella, GM/EVP of Marketing and Creative Media at Atlantic Records; and Josh Rosenfeld, Cofounder and President of Barsuk Records. Ex-EMI executive Cory Ondrejka is now off the bill.
The real action starts Friday, though some 'library sessions' will warm things up on Thursday - an appropriate characterization given the University Club venue in Nob Hill. Open forum discussions will canvass topics like startup stress and marketing data (or lack thereof), and a healthy batch of interviews and case studies are also part of the fun.
