Michael Jackson died because of 'acute Propofol intoxication,' according to information now released by the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner. The overdose qualifies as a homicide, and a cocktail of other prescription
drugs were found inside Jackson's body. Lorazepam was also floating
around, alongside a variety of other pills. "The drugs Propofol and
Lorazepam were found to be the primary drugs responsible for Mr.
Jackson's death," the department stated. "Other drugs detected were
midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine, and ephedrine."
Whether Jackson physician Conrad Murray is criminally negligible remains the question, though the singer may have constructed a circle of doctors to feed his addictions. The official toxicology report remains under wraps, per orders of the LAPD and the LA County District Attorney's Office.
On a brighter note, Spike Lee recently threw an outdoor birthday bash for Jackson in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The celebration marks what would have been Jackson's 51st birthday.
