Universal Music Group owner Vivendi just released financial details.  Here's the latest on the revenue and earnings picture for the first half, in 30 seconds or less...

Revenues, First Half: Down 5.4% year-over-year to €1.9 billion ($2.4 billion). Down 7.9% on constant currencies.

EBITDA, Same Period: Down 24.6% to €159 million ($203.6 million).

Quick Explanation: Merchandising and digital gained, while operating and restructuring costs declined.  But fewer releases and slowing physical outweighed those gains.

Biggest Sellers, H1: Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Florence and the Machine, Drake, Coeur de Pirate.

Biggest Sellers, Anticipated: Black Eyed Peas, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Michel Sardou, Florent Pagny, Akon, Zazie, Maroon 5 and Duffy.
