Katie Perry scored the top-selling album in the US this week, according to Nielsen Soundscan. Teenage Dream scored sales of 192,122, followed closely by Fantasia's Back to Me, which placed second with 116,768 units. Eminem's Recovery slipped just below 100,000 to place third in his 11th week.

Same-store sales slipped 3.7 percent at Hot Topic in August, the latest in a long string of year-over-year declines. The last same-store gain occurred in April of 2009.
