Warner Music Handling EMI Across Southeast Asia...

Warner Music Group will now handle EMI Music releases in Southeast Asia, part of a broader alliance.  The multi-year agreement touches Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea and Thailand, and includes a number of shared responsibilities.  According to terms shared Monday, Warner will market and distribute EMI content in those territories, and exclusively handle physical and digital distribution.

That builds upon earlier agreements in India, the Middle East and North Africa, in which EMI markets and distributes Warner releases.   "This collaboration allows EMI Music and Warner Music to leverage each other's resources locally to the mutual benefit of our artists and our business," said Adrian Cheesley, EMI Music's President for the Asia Pacific and Latin America.
