In Other EMI News: Hulu Content Arrangement Emerges...

EMI Music is now placing Norah Jones videos onto Hulu, the beginning of a broader content relationship.  According to the New York Times, the label is now positioning the Jones video catalog, part of a fresh channel dedicated to the artist.  Concert footage and interviews are also part of the pact, and other artists from the EMI roster are expected to join at a later date.  Jones just released her latest album, The Fall.

The Jones move is probably the first of several major label partnerships, according to Hulu senior vice president for content and distribution Andy Forssell.  But instead of a simple collection of music vids, Forsell is aiming for broader content selections around artists.  "In the end, we thought the best starting point that fit with our mission, and with what our users expect, is a good mix of content, some music videos, long-form content and interviews, everything we can get for an immersive experience around certain artists," Forssell told the Times.
